As a little girl Ella used to lie on a blanket in her backyard staring up at the sky through the leaves. As she grew older, Ella discovered that hiking was the only thing that could make her happy no matter how the rest of her life was going. When she failed a test in school, or had a fight with her sister, the trees brought her back to her center. As fate would have it, it was hiking that ultimately brought Ella love as well. On a day in the early autumn Ella was on her favorite trail when she heard a rustling. She froze in her spot worrying that she had accidently disturbed a bear, but instead she found a man who had tripped on some rocks and sprained his ankle. From this chance meeting Ella and her injured hiker grew a relationship. A year later Ella’s hiker proposed to her in the spot they met. He stumbled, pretending to fall, and then quickly turned around on one knee and produced a ring. Just like Ella knew instantly that her answer was yes, she knew that she had found her dress when she saw Liz Field’s original, style 8224. Ella’s favorite thing about her dress is the way it drapes around her perfectly. It is strapless with shirred panels and beaded charmeuse bands at the neckline and waste. Ella loves that the fly away panel on the front of her skirt which makes her seem like she is floating when she walks. Ella and her fiancé are getting married in the backyard of her childhood home, under her favorite big tree.
