Groom Ditches His Bride At Gas Station!

Bridal Gown

Imagine that you’re on your honeymoon in France – the most romantic place in the entire world – then after that magical week celebrating your new life together, your new husband leaves you at a small gas station in middle-of-nowhere, Germany while on your way home to Berlin. Well, that may seem like a far stretch from your post nuptial bliss, but it was the unfortunate reality for one new bride.

The groom of course, said that he didn’t mean to leave his bride at the gas station, but he didn’t even notice she wasn’t in the car until two and a half hours later. Apparently, the story [with detail - justifying his mistake] was that she was sleeping in the back of the car and when they came to the gas station, she got out the use the restroom, but by the time he got back, she had not yet returned and he had assumed that she stayed sleeping.

The bride called into a radio station to comment on the story,

My first reaction was – is he stupid? I had no money and no telephone with me. However, I’m not angry with my husband, he didn’t mean it.

What a fantastic and understanding brand NEW bride – At least now they have a great story to tell their grand kids one day.

Bride Publicly Shames Cake Maker

Wedding DisasterDon’t ever mess with a bride, whether it be her dress, reception, groom, bridesmaids, or any part of the entire wedding, just do not mess with it. The baker’s at an undisclosed bakery in the U.K. probably should have listened to that advice before they sold a woman the lopsided gray blob that was supposedly her wedding cake. The bride, Celia, provided the bakery with a photo of the design she had wanted, however, when she picked up her three-tier, black tire cake, she immediately took revenge. Now, what better way to take revenge than selling the cake on eBay?

Wedding Planning

According to one of the comments placed on the item, they described it as a “cake-shaming,” and on the description of the listing, Celia noted the cake was “used” and continued with “A few defects due to maker being unskilled. Uncut, along with large amount of awful cupcakes for free. No topper or decoration. Unusual design. Very Heavy.” This dear bride ended by letting the bidder know that there were no returns on the item. Talk about a serious wedding dilemma solved with bridal wrath.

There were actually 11 bids on the cake that began at $1.54. However, Celia removed the sale after an experienced cake maker commented on the item saying, “Sorry, but as an experienced cake maker, I just thought I would contact you. I don’t think you will be able to/really should sell this cake on eBay, not least of which for health and safety reasons. If someone actually ate it (God Forbid!!) – I would worry it might come back on you rather than the original cake maker.”

Coming from the perspective of the bride, this cake “baker” should have felt her wrath, because what this cake looked like would send anyone off their rocker. Celia later explained that she did not intend to actually sell the cake to anyone, but to prevent this shop from ever producing or selling another disaster such as her cake.

Governor’s Daughter Returns $15K Wedding Gift

Merlin_18012851_image_982wGovernor Robert McDonnell of Virginia has been under some serious investigation in recent months from his family being offered so many expensive and free gifts from those who have endorsed his campaign. In the state of Virginia, it is required that any gift given to the state’s first family worth over $50 must be made aware to Federal Officials. While his wife has accepted countless gifts to improve her public appearance, new reports are claiming his daughter returned a check for $15,000 given to her as a wedding gift.

The check came from one of Governor McDonnell’s biggest endorsers, Jonnie Williams, who has given the family thousands of dollars in gifts already. Upon the federal investigation, McDonnell has hired a private legal team to return all the funds back to Williams. However, Attorney General, Ken Cuccinelli stated otherwise saying that the governor will not be reimbursing Williams as the $18,000 in gifts has included already used vacations, dinners, and private jet travel, all of which are things that cannot be given back.

Upon word that both of the Governor’s daughter’s were engaged, rumors began swirling that a majority of the wedding festivities would be funded by Williams’ company which manufactures nutritional supplements. Cuccinelli gained word that both the Governor’s daughters returned their wedding checks, both for $15,000 and he stated that he was pleased the Governor finally took some initiative.

Always A Bridesmaid – Never A Sequel

The infamous cast of Bridesmaids

The infamous cast of Bridesmaids

For the past two years, rumors have been swirling around the comedic wedding pool determining if there will be another box office smash for the Bridesmaids franchise. The movie that was essentially The Hangover for women has officially been declared one-and-done, but that does not mean it was not a success.

Bridesmaids broke box office records upon its 2011 release with an Academy Award nominated cast. So, why turn down a project that could crush the box office yet again, just from the anticipation? The star, Kristen Wiig, mentioned to Harper’s Bazaar, that her career is not money motivated. “We would have made a lot of money if there was a second one, but that’s not my goal in my creative life,” Wiig explained “We knew during the first one, this was it.”

The poster became an iconic staple in wedding photos for the bride and her bridesmaids, in which the bride and her maids stand lackluster for the camera in the gown and dresses rather than the standard smile from ear to ear. While fans would love another movie, there is no point in destroying something we already love. Even though Wiig turned down the Bridesmaids 2 idea without batting an eye, she is still looking forward to all her upcoming projects coming out within the next year.

Mother of Five Loses $23k Wedding Ring at Garage Sale

wedding_image
A California resident by the name of Racquel Cloutier gave birth to her fifth child this week, and prior to going into labor she placed her wedding ring into a wooden jewelry box for safe keeping. Her husband, in an attempt to get rid of excess materials from the home prior to his wife’s return, accidentally sold the wooden box in a garage sale for ten dollars. The ring was valued at $23,000 and Cloutier is offering a reward to whoever can return the ring to her. The couple suspects that whoever bought the jewelry box has no idea that the wedding ring is inside of it. The happy mother of five is hoping that whoever has the ring will come forward once they realize it’s in their possession. Wedding rings are an invaluable keepsake and should always be kept in a safe place. The stress of going through labor is enough to make someone lose just about anything, and accidents like can be avoided with a little planning. When it comes to finding the perfect wedding ring, one of the number one things to keep in mind is that insurance is a must especially should something like this happen. If you are unsure how to go about getting insurance for your wedding ring, there are local agents everywhere who can help you out.

Finding a great wedding ring is more than just a trip to the jeweler. For men, it’s important to communicate with their significant other as far as design and material are concerned. This may seem like a quick way to ruin a big surprise, but by being communicative you can avoid disappointment and a potential argument. This is particularly important if you are planning on getting a wedding ring or a custom wedding dress that is costly. It’s better to talk openly about your partner’s preferences rather than spend a lot of money on something that they may not like. Another good practice is to look at more than one jewelry shop and study up about the different diamond grades so that you have a good understanding and knowledge about what you’re actually purchasing. This way, you won’t have to worry about getting ripped off or purchasing a low quality diamond with a high quality price tag. Diamonds aren’t something that people buy everyday so it’s to be expected that you’ll have to do a little research before making this kind of purchase. Beyond buying a wedding ring, always remember the reason for the gesture in the first place. Couples can get caught up in the details and stress of planning a wedding to the point of forgetting the real reason for all of the planning. Your wedding day, and the wedding planning process is something that you will remember for the rest of your life so always keep sight of your intentions and don’t get overwhelmed by material obligations.

Keeping Calm on Your Wedding Day

Custom Wedding Dresses

Planning a wedding can be stressful, but getting overwhelmed by it is no means a requirement. When you’re getting ready for your big day, don’t let planning the event get in the way of enjoying yourself. Planning a wedding should be an exhilarating experience that you take with you for a long time. There is so much to be done in order to plan a wedding that it’s easy to forget the purpose of what you’re doing. Here are some simple tips that can help you stay on track remember the reason you are planning the event in the first place.

Dress Alterations

Remember to have your dress altered a week before your wedding. The purpose of having your dress altered a week before the big day is to ensure that it will fit like a glove. If you wait more than a week you will spread yourself too thin, and if you wait more than a week than you may risk your dress not fitting due to weight gain or loss.

Involve Others

Never feel like you are “putting someone out” during your wedding planning. People love weddings, and they love being a part of the planning process. If anything, you’ll be doing them a favor by inviting them to help you plan your wedding. Take full advantage of this and enlist as much help as you need. This is the one time in your life where people will be more than willing to do whatever you want! While this is “your” day, it is also your groom’s day, your parent’s day, and everyone who loves and cares about you will be delighted to help share in the experience.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

When you obsess over the miniscule details you are setting yourself up to be stressed out. If you hired a wedding planner, let them take care of the small stuff. If a wedding planner wasn’t a part of your budget, allow your friends and family members to take care of the little details that you just don’t have time to attend to. This will allow you to stay focused on the big picture and remember why you are tying the knot in the first place.

Reduce the amount of stress you incur by choosing the right wedding dress. Picking the right dress designer can significantly reduce the amount of things that you have to worry about on your wedding day. Make sure you find a reputable designer that you can trust to handle your custom wedding dress.

Imperfections are Okay

Sometimes the imperfections of your wedding are what will make is the most memorable. Don’t freak out if something goes wrong or if everything doesn’t go 100% according to plan. Little snafu’s will only make the experience more real, and people like real. Instead of taking mistakes to heart, smile and move on while keeping in mind the reason you are celebrating.

Most importantly, remember to take a step back from time to time and take in the experience. It’s easy to get caught up in the planning process and forget to make valuable memories out of it. Whenever you can, take a moment to sit back and enjoy your wedding.
