Mila Kunis Walks Down The Aisle!

Don’t worry, it’s just as a bridesmaid! Actress, Mila Kunis, was seen wearing a short, light peach colored bridesmaid’s dress with her actor boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher, not trailing far behind. The wedding was for Kunis’ brother and of course she invited Kutcher as her date.

Rumors have been swirling around in the media that these two actors’ may be walking down the aisle to say their own “I do’s” soon enough, but only time and reports will tell.

Kunis was asked to be a bridesmaid by her brother’s fiancée – and she was also seen wearing a gold band around her ring finger, but onlookers did mention that it did not strike them as an engagement ring, but rather an accessory.

According to eyewitnesses at the wedding, Kutcher was welcomed by the Kunis family and was even invited to be in some of the family wedding photos. One source from the wedding claimed that Kutcher was very much into the wedding and the overall feeling of joy that was surrounding everyone there – and that could be seen by his body language towards Kunis and her entire family as they posed for pictures on the altar.

As soon as Kutcher finalized his infamous divorce from actress, Demi Moore, the public assumed that Kutcher would soon after pop the question to Kunis, but as said before – only time will tell. One thing is for certain though; they looked very natural in the wedding atmosphere.

4 Reasons Why Being A Bridesmaid Is The Best

Liz Fields 1

Many women will begin to stress once they receive their invitation for being in the bridal party, but there is no reason to stress because there are so many amazing reasons as to why being a bridesmaid is the best offer ever. Yes, it can end up being a little pricey and you may have to tap into your savings a little bit – depending on the style of the bride – but it’s all worth it from the moment you’re getting pampered before the nuptials, to dancing your shoes off at the reception.

So, with that being said – here are FOUR awesome reasons to say “YES!” to being a bridesmaid,

You Seal Your Friendship Status

Nothing will seal a friendship more than supporting your best friend as she walks down the aisle. This is one of, if not THE biggest day of her life and she wants you to be a part of it. Yes, she may ask you to spend money on travel, attire, and gifts, but she wants you to be a part of it all, from start to finish. Being a part of her big day is way better than staying out of the loop until the actual day of the wedding.

More Photos To Collect For Social Media

Obviously, social media is running society today – and having the right pictures is very important. Lucky for you, your best friend’s wedding will probably have a professional photographer who will most likely take some of the best photos you have ever seen of yourself. Plus, the photos are one thing that you won’t have to pay for! Who doesn’t want professional photos taken of them – free of charge?

Your Attire Is Like A VIP Pass

You are obviously a very important person at the wedding, which basically means you are VIP. How do people know you’re VIP? Well, it’s because you’re wearing the dress! The bridesmaid’s dresses are a huge ticket and other than the happy couple, you’re the next in line and the whole reception is basically centered on the newlyweds and the wedding party.

You Get To Avoid Awkward Seating

Being in the bridal party means that you are guaranteed to have one of the best seats in the house. By the time of the reception, you have probably become decently close with the rest of the bridesmaids, if they aren’t already your friends. So, that automatically eliminates having to make that call to the bride beforehand to make sure you’re not sitting next to one of her future husbands weird uncles – because there’s always that one weird family member.

So, when your best friend proposes that you be in her wedding party – accept the invitation because you get to witness something not everyone gets to see!

Bride’s Younger Sister Defies The Odds

Bridesmaid Inspiration In yet another inspiring bridal story, a young bridesmaid defied the odds of never walking again to make sure she was there for her big sister on her big day. One night while driving home, a deer jumped in front of 18 year old Mackenzie Gordon’s car – and as a result of avoiding the deer, she swerved, flipping her car into a ditch and breaking her neck.

Doctors told Mackenzie that she would never be able to stand on her own two feet again, let alone walk, but with her big sister’s wedding day on the horizon, she made it her personal goal to be able to walk down the aisle.

“I never accepted that I couldn’t walk again,” the captain of her cheerleading squad explained, “If I don’t want to be in the chair, I’ve got to do something myself to get out of it.”

Bridesmaid Inspiration

Some of Mackenzie’s locomotor therapy documented on video.

It was when her new doctor at a new hospital was also paralyzed, and she realized that her dreams were not out of reach (especially since she had wanted to study to become a nurse) and she could still achieve them. By using a form of therapy called “locomotor therapy,” the motions of walking are recreated with force until the spinal cord essentially regains its memory.

So, it started with being able to stand just over 20 seconds, then after two months, those seconds turned into about five minutes – and soon enough, Mackenzie walked down the aisle in the same shoes as the other bridesmaids and stood beside her sister.

Way to go, Mackenzie!

Budget Tips For The Bridesmaid

bridesmaid dresses

When a woman reaches her late 20′s, the wedding invitations begin to pile up and if you’re a chosen one, then you even get to be in the bridal party. However, one thing is for sure – being a wedding guest is a pricey affair, especially if you’re in the wedding party. While you obviously want to be one of your best friend’s bridesmaid’s, it can put a nice dent in your bank account.

So, with that being said, there are plenty of bridal budget saving tips out there, but there are three crucial one’s that are probably the easiest of all.

Figure Out The Dates

Whether it’s a destination wedding or a destination bachelorette party, the sooner you know, the cheaper the flight will be. Traveling 101 means booking your flight as soon as you know the dates – using a budget site will help you out with finding ticket deals on the airline of the brides choice. The price of travel also goes along with booking your room at the hotel – the sooner the better to ensure there are rooms available.

Don’t Be The Golden Bridesmaid

Yes, this is one of your best friends and they are getting married – it’s a huge celebration – so, of course you’re excited. However, that does not mean you should volunteer to help out with anything and everything because any bride will take advantage of that (wedding fever changes people). Being your best friend’s bridesmaid is not your career so, it does not require all your undivided attention. The only way you should take on the burden of wedding finances is if they are flying solo with their wedding plans and booking.

Avoid Overspending On Gifts

If the bride is following tradition with the bachelorette party, bridal shower, and wedding reception well, then you have a lot of gifts to start thinking about. The best road to go down is DIY (do it yourself) gifts because they are cheaper and tend to mean more – there is nothing like watching your already emotional best friend (aka bride to be) open up a scrapbook of your childhood and smile. If you want to buy expensive gifts, then you’re going to end up spending way more than you would have to.

Now, with all those tips being said, the main point is to prioritize and organize – by planning ahead, you’re all set in terms of calming down your stress level!

Marrying A Graphic Designer Guarantees Great Save The Dates!

Celebrity WeddingsAs many may or may not know, the latest couple off the show The Bachelor will actually be making it down the aisle, as they have officially sent out their “Save The Date.” Now, this couple may have not been taken seriously as they met on a television show where about 15 percent of the couples actually work out, but their invitations kind of make us want to be invited to the wedding – I’ll even take one that says I’m not invited.

Save the Date

This is their “Save The Date.”

The Bachelor, Sean Lowe, proposed to Catherine Giudici earlier in the year after the shows 17th season. Lucky for us and for their guests, Giudici is a graphic designer who proved her skills after they sent out the cutest save the dates ever!

They will be walking down the aisle on January 26, 2014 and you can be sure to catch it on ABC when they air the full spectacle. Of course, Sean and Catherine may not have seemed like the perfect fit, but hopefully they will be able to prove everyone wrong once they say their “I do’s.”

Couple Decides To Marry Despite Groom’s Brain Injury

Wedding Stories

Larissa and Ian met in 2005 when they were both still in college. After ten months of dating, and talks of marriage, Ian was in a devastating car accident that left him with a debilitating brain injury. After spending hours at the hospital, hoping that it wouldn’t be his brain, Larissa’s life stopped before her eyes.

So, why didn’t Larissa leave Ian? “I knew before Ian’s accident he was very serious about marriage and was ring shopping, so I knew where he was and that helped me so much after he couldn’t talk – I knew where he wanted the relationship to go,” Larissa explained in a video that explains how they came to the decision to continue on despite the odds.

Wedding Stories

Ian and Larissa – still in college.

She knew that if he could somewhat communicate with her, then their relationship could work – as long as he knew who she was and they could interact and communicate with each other. Larissa later explains in the video how God spared Ian’s life, “One night he was failing four to five activity tests and then the next morning he was doing well and his brain was starting to respond again.”

When Ian was recovering, his father was diagnosed with cancer, and with his condition worsening, Larissa knew how passionate he was about them tying the knot. To ensure that Ian was not marrying against his will, Larissa took him to a judge as his condition slightly improved – and when the judge ruled that he could make that decision, they married in 2012.

In a legitimate wedding ceremony, Ian and Larissa wed in a traditional wedding style. Larissa wore a beautiful cream colored gown and Ian even threw his fist up in the air with joy after they said their “I do’s.”

Groom Ditches His Bride At Gas Station!

Bridal Gown

Imagine that you’re on your honeymoon in France – the most romantic place in the entire world – then after that magical week celebrating your new life together, your new husband leaves you at a small gas station in middle-of-nowhere, Germany while on your way home to Berlin. Well, that may seem like a far stretch from your post nuptial bliss, but it was the unfortunate reality for one new bride.

The groom of course, said that he didn’t mean to leave his bride at the gas station, but he didn’t even notice she wasn’t in the car until two and a half hours later. Apparently, the story [with detail - justifying his mistake] was that she was sleeping in the back of the car and when they came to the gas station, she got out the use the restroom, but by the time he got back, she had not yet returned and he had assumed that she stayed sleeping.

The bride called into a radio station to comment on the story,

My first reaction was – is he stupid? I had no money and no telephone with me. However, I’m not angry with my husband, he didn’t mean it.

What a fantastic and understanding brand NEW bride – At least now they have a great story to tell their grand kids one day.

Being A Bridesmaid Isn’t A Death Sentence

Bridesmaid PlanningWhile there is a dark cloud that seems to lurk over the news of being chosen as a bridesmaid, it’s not all bad. There are actually some serious perks of not being the first one of your girlfriends to be married off into the wild world of marital bliss. Of course, there is the list of cons including,

  • Bridezilla’s wrath
  • Creepy groomsmen
  • Maid-of-Honor speech [If you're not good at giving speeches, of course]
  • The 50-50 chance of a bad bridesmaid dress and/or shoes

However, there are at least three awesome benefits of being a chosen as a bridesmaid. Besides the fact that you could potentially find your future husband within the groomsmen, here are some other awesome reasons why saying ‘yes,’ to being a bridesmaid is not a death sentence.

1.) Learn From The Bride’s Mistakes

It’s kind of like what you say your entire life while growing up – “I’m never going to be like my parents.” – Yeah, well you don’t want to be a bridezilla either. If you bestie is causing some serious drama and stress with her high priced wedding demands, just remember that when you down the aisle, “I’m never going to be like her.”

2.) Play Dress Up

What little girl did not go through a dress-up phase while growing up? Being a bridesmaid is as close as you’ll get to being a princess until it’s your wedding day. So, enjoy having the opportunity to get all dolled up with your hair and makeup. Plus, if you’re lucky, the bridesmaid dress will basically make you look like you just walked out of a fashion catalog.

3.) Make New Friends

As you grow up and move around – whether it be from your job or just relocating after college – your friend count might dwindle. When you get invited to a wedding and you are offered the position of being a bridesmaid, you could potentially be making some new BFF’s, which would up your friend count.

So, if you end up getting that invitation in the mail or if she asks you in person, weddings are not all drama. There are some serious benefits of saying “yes,” to the bride – plus, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
